College Students

AI for Commerce and Management Students

Commerce students carry a heavy load: accounts, tax, case studies, projects, and the pressure of placements. This workshop shows you how AI lightens all of it, honestly. You will use ChatGPT and Gemini to untangle GST and tax concepts, then verify every answer against your textbook, because AI gets things wrong and you need to catch it. You will build Excel sheets with formulas drafted by free AI chats that you paste in, draft a business plan, design a presentation, and write internship applications in your own voice. Every day you make something real. By day seven, you leave with a folder of work you can actually show.

Where this course sits

Level 1 · Foundation

For complete beginners. No AI experience needed, and no coding, ever. If you can use WhatsApp, you are ready.

Prerequisites: None. If you can use WhatsApp and have opened Excel even once, you are ready.

Day by day

Exactly what happens in these 7 days

No vague promises. Open each day and see what you will learn and the real thing you will make.

Day1

Your first 30 minutes with AI

Get comfortable asking AI good questions and catching its mistakes early.

  • Setting up ChatGPT and Gemini free accounts
  • Asking for explanations at your level: 'explain like I am a first-year B.Com student'
  • Why AI confidently gives wrong answers, with live examples from accountancy
  • The verify habit: cross-checking against your textbook
  • What never to share with AI: marks, personal documents, other people's details

You make today: A revision cheat sheet for one accounts chapter, made with AI and checked line by line against the textbook

Day2

Excel plus AI for accounts

Stop fearing spreadsheets. Let AI explain, write, and fix formulas with you.

  • Asking AI to explain any formula in plain words
  • Building a ledger and trial balance layout with AI guidance
  • VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and pivot tables without memorising anything
  • Fixing broken formulas by pasting the error into AI
  • Cleaning messy data before it ruins your work

You make today: A working personal or shop expense tracker in Excel with formulas you built and can explain

Day3

GST and tax, explained and verified

Use AI to understand tax concepts, then prove to yourself the answers are right.

  • Getting GST basics explained with everyday examples: a kirana bill, a restaurant bill
  • Input tax credit and slabs, simplified step by step
  • Where AI goes wrong on Indian tax rules and outdated rates
  • Verifying against official government sources and your syllabus
  • Building your own question bank for revision

You make today: A one-page GST explainer in your own words, with every claim verified and sources noted

Day4

Case studies and business plans

Turn AI into a brainstorming partner for the thinking work commerce courses demand.

  • Breaking down a case study with structured prompts
  • SWOT and competitor analysis drafts you then improve
  • Drafting a simple business plan: idea, customer, costs, revenue
  • Pressure-testing your plan by asking AI to argue against it
  • Keeping your own judgement in charge, AI as assistant not author

You make today: A one-page business plan for an idea you choose, stress-tested and rewritten in your voice

Day5

Presentations that look professional

Build a clean, confident deck fast, so you can spend time practising the talk.

  • Turning your notes into a slide outline with ChatGPT
  • Generating a full deck in Gamma and refining it
  • Making it yours in Canva: fonts, colours, one idea per slide
  • Writing speaker notes so you never read off slides
  • Common presentation mistakes AI can help you spot

You make today: An 8 to 10 slide presentation on your day 4 business plan, ready to present

Day6

Internship applications that get replies

Write applications that are polished but honest, and pass a quick screening read.

  • Drafting a one-page resume with AI, then removing everything untrue or padded
  • Cover letters and emails: AI first draft, your final edit
  • Tailoring one application to three different companies
  • Finding openings on Internshala, LinkedIn and Naukri Campus, then using Perplexity for company research notes
  • Privacy check: what personal details belong in an application and what does not

You make today: A complete internship application pack: resume, cover email, and research notes for one real company

Day7

Your summer project report

Structure and start the report every commerce student has to submit anyway.

  • Choosing and narrowing a project topic with AI brainstorming
  • Building a chapter-by-chapter skeleton
  • Drafting the introduction with AI as editor, not ghostwriter
  • Organising references and sources with NotebookLM
  • The honesty line: what counts as your work when AI helped

You make today: A full project report skeleton plus a drafted introduction chapter you wrote and AI polished

Outcomes

Walk out able to do this

  • Write clear prompts that get useful answers for accounts, tax, and business questions
  • Build and fix Excel formulas with AI help instead of getting stuck
  • Verify AI explanations of GST and tax concepts against the textbook and official sources
  • Draft a one-page business plan and a full case study analysis with AI as your assistant
  • Create a clean presentation deck for class or a competition in under an hour
  • Write an internship application, resume, and email that sound like you, not a robot

Honest answers

Questions people actually ask

I am weak at Excel and honestly a bit scared of it. Will I cope?

Yes. We start from zero and AI does the remembering for you. You will ask it to explain and write formulas in plain language, and by day two you will have a working sheet you built yourself.

Can I trust AI for GST and tax answers in my exams?

Not blindly, and we say that openly. AI often quotes outdated rates or mixes up rules. A full day is spent on using AI to understand concepts while verifying everything against your textbook and official sources. That habit is the real skill.

Is using AI for my project report cheating?

Using AI to structure, brainstorm, and edit is fine and increasingly normal. Submitting AI text as your own thinking is not, and colleges are getting better at spotting it. We teach you exactly where the line is so your work stays yours.

Do I need a paid ChatGPT account?

No. Every tool we use has a free plan that is enough for the whole course. If you later want a paid plan, we will tell you honestly whether it is worth it for your use, but it is never required. One clarification: we use only the free browser chat version of Copilot; if any AI feature asks for payment, it is a different product and we do not need it.

Is the full-course fee cheaper than paying day by day?

Yes, always. Day-by-day adds up to more than the full-course fee, and the exact saving is shown on this page. Day-by-day exists so you can try day one before committing, not as the cheaper path.
