AI for Growing Businesses (Owners and Teams)
This is a working programme, not a seminar. Every session uses your own business as the raw material. We start with a clear-eyed look at where AI genuinely saves money in an SME and where the hype is empty. Then you build: sales proposals and quotations, job descriptions and screening checklists, written SOPs for processes that live in people's heads, MIS summaries your team can produce weekly, and customer support macros. You will also write your company's AI usage policy, because your staff is already using AI whether you know it or not. The capstone is a 90-day AI adoption plan for your own business, reviewed in class.
Who is this for: SME owners, next-generation family business leaders, and non-tech startup founders who want AI working across sales, hiring, and operations
Where this course sits
Best if you already use ChatGPT or a similar tool sometimes, or have finished a Foundation workshop. Moves faster, goes deeper into real work.
Prerequisites: You run or help run a business. Comfort with WhatsApp and email is enough, no technical background needed. Bring real examples: a proposal, a report, a process. We work on your business, not dummy cases.
Exactly what happens in these 7 days
No vague promises. Open each day and see what you will learn and the real thing you will make.
Day1
Where AI pays and where it is hype
A working session that separates real SME savings from empty promises
- Hands-on in the first 30 minutes: AI drafts a real document from your business, live
- The honest map: tasks where AI saves SMEs time and money today
- The hype list: what AI cannot reliably do yet, said plainly
- Hallucination in a business setting: why every AI output needs a human check before it reaches a client
- Data safety from Day 1: what company information must never go into public AI tools
- Picking your three highest-value AI use cases for this week
You make today: An AI opportunity map for your own business: three use cases ranked by money saved and effort required
Day2
Sales: proposals and quotations
Cutting proposal and quotation turnaround from days to hours
- Deconstructing your current proposal: what clients actually read
- A reusable proposal structure AI fills in for each client
- Quotations with clear scope lines that prevent later disputes
- Adapting one proposal for different client types in minutes
- Follow-up email sequences drafted by AI, sent on your schedule
- The review rule: numbers, prices, and commitments are checked by a human, every time
You make today: A finished proposal template plus one real proposal for a live prospect, ready to review and send
Day3
Hiring: JDs and screening
Writing roles clearly and screening candidates faster and fairer
- Job descriptions that attract the right people and filter the wrong ones
- Salary band and role research using Perplexity, with sources you verify
- A structured screening checklist and scoring sheet for consistent shortlisting
- Interview question sets by role, drafted by AI and pruned by you
- Fairness and limits: why AI never makes the final hiring call, and how bias can creep into AI-assisted screening
You make today: A complete hiring kit for one real open role: JD, screening checklist, scoring sheet, and interview questions
Day4
Operations: SOPs that stick
Getting processes out of people's heads and into documents anyone can follow
- Why SMEs stall when knowledge lives in one person's head
- The interview method: describe a process aloud, AI drafts the SOP
- Formatting SOPs with steps, owners, and checkpoints people actually follow
- Using NotebookLM to make your documents searchable and answerable
- An SOP library plan: which 10 processes to document first and who owns each
You make today: One complete written SOP for a real process in your business, plus a prioritised list of the next 10
Day5
MIS: numbers into decisions
Weekly summaries that tell you what is actually happening in the business
- Getting your data out first: exporting reports from Tally, Busy, or your billing app into Sheets before AI touches them
- What an owner really needs to see weekly, and what is noise
- Turning raw sales and expense data into a plain-language MIS summary with AI
- Spotting trends and exceptions: what went up, what fell, what needs a question
- A repeatable weekly MIS routine your team runs without you
- Accuracy discipline: AI can misread numbers, so totals are verified against the source before any decision
You make today: A weekly MIS summary built from your own business data, plus the reusable routine your team will follow
Day6
Support macros and your AI policy
Faster, consistent customer support and the rules your company runs AI by
- Mining your last 50 customer queries for the patterns behind them
- A macro library: ready responses in Hindi and English for your top queries, loaded into WhatsApp Business quick replies so the whole team answers consistently
- Complaint and escalation responses that calm rather than inflame
- Your AI usage policy: what data staff may share, what needs human review, when to disclose AI use
- Rolling the policy out without drama: a one-page version and a short team talk
You make today: A customer support macro library plus a signed-off one-page AI usage policy for your company
Day7
Capstone: your 90-day AI adoption plan
Turning seven days of work into a rollout plan your business will actually execute
- The 90-day structure: three phases of 30 days, each with owners and checkpoints
- Choosing what to roll out first based on this week's wins
- Training your team: who learns what, and how to handle resistance
- Measuring honestly: hours saved and errors caught, not vanity metrics
- Presenting your plan to the class for challenge and feedback
- What to revisit in 6 months as AI tools change
You make today: A written 90-day AI adoption plan for your own business, presented in class and refined with feedback

Questions people actually ask
I am not technical at all. Is this programme too advanced for me?
No. Nothing in this programme involves coding or technical setup. If you can use email and WhatsApp, you can do everything here. The advanced part is your business knowledge, and you already have that.
Can I send a manager or team member instead of attending myself?
Yes, and some owners attend alongside a key team member, which works very well. Whoever attends should know the business well enough to work on real proposals, processes, and numbers in class.
Is my business data safe if we use AI tools in class?
We take this seriously. On Day 1 we set clear rules about what never goes into public AI tools, and you can work with masked or sample versions of sensitive documents. Writing your own data policy is part of the programme.
Will this actually save money, or is it another AI hype session?
We open the programme by separating real savings from hype, and we will be blunt about both. We will not promise a number, because savings depend on your business and follow-through. What we promise is working outputs for your own company by the end of each day.
Beyond the course fee, what will these tools cost my business monthly?
For most teams, nothing at first: ChatGPT, Gemini, Canva, Sheets and WhatsApp Business free tiers cover everything we build in class. If your team later grows into paid plans, the usual candidates are Canva Pro and a ChatGPT or Gemini subscription for heavy users, and we tell you plainly in class which upgrades are worth it for your usage and which are not.
